Matej Pregelj is a scientific associate at JSI and an assistant professor of physics at FMF UL. At JSI, he leads the neutron scattering efforts in the Laboratory for Measurements at Large-Scale User Facilities. With a strong portfolio of high-impact publications and several research grants, he is making significant contributions to the field.
His primary research focuses on low-dimensional and frustrated quantum spin systems, magnetic multilayers, and inorganic nanostructures. He employs a variety of complementary experimental techniques, including elastic and inelastic neutron scattering, electron spin resonance, nuclear magnetic resonance, and muon spectroscopy, providing a comprehensive understanding of the underlying physics.
