Prof. Dr. Matjaž Gams is a full professor in computer science and informatics and a leading researcher in the field of superintelligence. Over the past year, he has delivered 10 invited lectures on GPT models to an audience of 3,000 attendees. He is a member of the Slovenian Academy of Engineering, the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, IEEE, and ACM.
His research activities encompass artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, large language models (LLMs), and the application of AI to address societal challenges (demography, ecology, medicine). His interest in quantum AI spans two areas: (a) quantum machine learning and quantum LLMs, and (b) quantum advanced cognitive processes. Through these areas, he is advancing (i) the evolution of AI methods by integrating quantum computational processes, and (ii) aiming for a revolution in research into computationally or time-complexity superior mechanisms.
