Prof. Igor Vaskivskyi

Igor Vaskivskyi is a researcher at the Jožef Stefan Institute, leading the Extreme UV (EUV) Spectroscopy and Polarimetry Laboratory within the Department of Complex Matter.

His research centers on studying correlated electronic materials and developing advanced time-resolved spectroscopy techniques in the EUV range. He is particularly interested in uncovering the mechanisms behind metastability in electronic crystals, investigating and leveraging electron-lattice reconfigurations, and exploring new ways to control magnetic orders in crystals and thin films on ultrafast timescales.
