Jernej Mravlje is a member of the Department of Theoretical Physics of Jozef Stefan Institute and an associate professor at the Physics department of FMF, University of Ljubljana.
He investigates transport properties of realistic multi-orbital systems that he describes within the dynamical mean-field theory and the density functional theory methods. He is interested in the interplay between different interactions (Hund’s coupling, electron-phonon coupling, spin-orbit coupling) that are relevant for realistic materials. His recent interests include optical properties in linear (optical and Raman response) and nonlinear regimes (high-harmonic generation, shift current). He is also interested in topological systems and quantum computing.
