Svjetlana Fajfer is a scientific advisor at IJS and a full professor of physics at FMF UL.
Her main research interest is the theory of high-energy physics.
She studies the theory of quark flavours and explores the possible contributions of physics outside the standard model. It explores extensions of the standard model of elementary particles, considering the limitations of experiments at low and high energies. She is particularly interested in the semileptonic decay of mesons containing c or b quarks and the possibilities of limits to new physics.
She is engaged in research on baryon charge violation and proton decays.
