We are proud to announce that among this year’s recipients of the Blinc Awards for Outstanding Scientific Achievements in Physics for 2025 are SQUASH mentors Dr. Zala Lenarčič and Prof. Dr. Andrej Zorko.
Dr. Zala Lenarčič, mentor in the field Quantum Theory: Quantum many-body physics, received the Blinc Award for Early Career Physicists.
Prof. Dr. Andrej Zorko, coordinator of the SQUASH program and mentor in the field Quantum Materials: Quantum Magnetism, received the Blinc Award for Outstanding Single Achievements in Physics. Together with his collaborators, he provided the first experimental evidence of an Ising quantum spin liquid in a new material with a triangular spin lattice.
